Colt’s Manufacturing Company, LLC, is a cornerstone of the American firearms industry, best known for popularising the revolver and providing standard-issue weaponry to the U.S. military for over a century. Founded in 1855 by Samuel Colt, the company is synonymous with the "American System of Manufacturing," pioneering the use of interchangeable parts and assembly line techniques. The gunsmith would become one of the ten richest men in America, and a pillar of the US establishment up until his passing in 1862 at the age of 47. Today the classic and instantly recognisable Colt marque can be seen in a variety of airgun versions, produced by Umarex to the highest standards of detail and realism.
